Lura's

Guiding waves to shoreline
With soft and gentle pace
Ocean's mighty forces
Exudes to her with grace

Carries every wave
With patience now a pause
Waiting for her entrance
With thunderous applause

Reflecting wondrous sight
Magnificence in splendor
Emerging like bright light

See the waves come crashing
Smoothing out the sand
Waves break on shoreline
With joyful wave of hand

Water fills the land now
With such serenity
Calm and peaceful beauty
The moment sets you free

Seeking sound with happiness
That comes within the breeze
This wondrous gift of nature
Ocean's finest symphony.

My Poetry
(2002 - just a sample of hundreds of poems written through the years.)

"Life is the art that you make."

Poetry

Most of my poetry is simple,
Going straight to the point of meaning,
Always spontaneously written
No frills, easy to understand
True, invulnerable essence
To console thee with tender love.
Quickly read and digestible
These pure and simple visions come
From my soul, a clean and chaste mind
Freedom and imancipation
Like the spirit of animals
Or a plant, adorned with nature
Passionate imagination
Emotional liberation.

A Windy Day

The wild wind is roaring
Around and above me
Arousing to rapture
The earth and the sea.
My spirit is soaring
My soul is awakened
I'm carried aloft
The wild wind is roaring.
The small swaying willows
In the garden are prancing
Butterflys beneath them,
Are merrily dancing.
The big trees are tossing
Their branches on high
The dark clouds are scrolling
Across the blue sky.
I run down to see
How the ocean is lashing
The foam of it's billows
It's huge waves are splashing.
The whirlwinds of spray
Flying around and above me
I hear the wild roar
Of it's thunder today.

Magenta Roses

Thanks be to good fortune
Stalking in my chambers
The day you did me seek
Catching me in your arms
Tenderly kissing me
So gentle, tame and sweet

Twenty soft kisses all
Feelings turn passionate
In a wild sort of way
Slipping from my shoulders
My light, loose gown did fall
On bare arms long and small

With your calm tenderness
Twelve roses you gave me
So beautiful but strange
With fashion forsaken in
A monstrous magenta range
And then you said to me
"Dear Heart, how like you this."

Sweetly I said to you
"I am so greatly served
With your kind gentleness."
Then softly I did kiss
Those magenta roses
Thanking you therewithall

The Love Nest

Glittering moondust
Brightly shining
On fairy sands.

Fairy Fae scatters
Her fairy dust
Around the love nest.

Hearts of Glass

Two hearts of glass
Clinging together
Wishing not to break.

Hearts are fragile
And open to love
Caring for each other.

Be kind to your heart
Give it happiness
Keep it healthy.

Don't let it break
It's very delicate
There's only one

For a lifetime..

Lura's Song

I hunger for your caress
My sweet-dream lover
My sensual darling man.
When you're so far away
I dream you are here
In the recesses of my mind.

Our hearts entwined
A love with no fear
A love that goes on
'Til the end of time.

You're my bright and sunny day
My dark and starry night
You are my moon, my warm sun.
When you're so far away
I dream you are here
In the recesses of my mind.

Our hearts entwined
A love with no fear
So tender, so warm
You are always near.

You hold me so tightly
I feel the love you give
So tender in the night
Your warming embrace.
I dream you are here
In the recesses of my mind.

Our hearts entwined
A love with no fear
So sensual, so soft
You are always near.

My Man

My passionate man
My intimate lover
Always enchanting me.

Your charms beguiling
Every touch and word
Warms me each moment.

The day is beautiful
When you are so near
Touching and caressing.

Perfect is the night
When you're holding me
Close to your heart.

Comforting me with your kiss
Touching me with passion
Ever so deep inside my being.

I feel the warm glow
This perfect unison
Of two bodies entwined.

You are my true love
You are my one passion
You are my entire life.

Always, and forever
We'll be together
On earth and in heaven.

Lover's Kiss

As lover's kiss
Beside the River Rhine
Candidly cunning
Devotedly always
Exchanging lover's talk
Feelings that run deep
Giving to each other
Happiness untold
Immense pleasure
Joyful delights
Kisses of passion
Loving the warmth
Moving with grace
Never knowing the
Others in their path
Pouring out the loving
Quivering of senses
Releasing of breaths
Savoring each kiss
Together again
Undaunted touching
Verifying the love
Wishes whispered while
Xylophone's are playing
Yearnings are fulfilled
Zinging along together
always!

A Marriage

Before them all they stand,
The holy vows softly said,
Binding her as his,
A beautiful wedding,
Every tear kissed away,
Sealed with rings of gold.

His house she enters,
To his fireside happiness,
Certainly to please
To all his wishes,
Binding him to her charms,
Binding her as his.

The sounds of music
Kindled by the masters spell,
When loving hearts touched,
Waked and rekindled.
The soul of music slumbers,
All his thoughts inclined.

A guardian angel,
Doubling his pleasues,
There to be his light,
As loving hearts touched,
Melodies unheard before,
Dividing his cares.

His beautiful angel,
Passion and pleasure
In her lovely face,
A southern girl,
A dear wife
With such grace.

My Dream

Your love is my dream,
You take me to ecstacy,
We float into time.

Time cannot erase
This love we share.
It always shall be.

Our time for loving,
The time for sharing,
A time for giving.

My love is your dream.
You know that I love you,
Always your true love.

Loving You

Loving you is bliss.
To the highest you take me
Where no one can reach.
You fill me with love.
My heart is overflowing,
Loving you is bliss.

Tender Kisses

Your tender kisses
Linger on my lips
Sweetened with love
Glazed with desire
Painted forever
In my heart.

Amber Caress

I sit in the twilight and warmth of this sunny day
Remembering another place, another time
When we were so young and so gay.
I wonder why we had come to this place,
How we had planned our time together.
Oh how I remember the amber caress
Of the warmth and beauty of the trees.
We walked hand in hand down the stony path,
Stopping to feel the cool water of the stream,
Stopping to embrace each other with love,
When the quickening flight of a pale blue dove
Startled us back into the reality of our dream.
So many days we have shared in this garden
Of love, of delight, of pleasures,
Never ever to be forgotten.

The Tickle Dance

As I wander down the path,
the bad boy man in jeans and
the little girl woman in dresses
appear in the forest near me.

They do their tickle dance,
The trees begin to sway,
The birds begin their flight,
I watch them out of sight.

I wonder how they do that,
It captures all my senses!
Is it something I can learn?
Or is it just innate?

The sounds so sensual,
The movements how lovely,
The passion so wild
In their place of cupid's fire.

The gestures, the motions,
When they do their dance,
In the dark misty forest,
In my curious watching eyes.

I linger a little longer
On the path in the forest,
My velvet eyes see them still
As I wander out of sight.

I wonder
is it something
I can learn?
Or is it innate?

A Safe Place

My soul has it's secrets,
My life has it's mysteries,
My heart, though, is open.

Come with me dear,
Come into my heart,
There is love here.

My arms are around you,
Your head is on my breast,
Sleep, hope and dream here,
It's a safe place to rest.

Come with me dear,
Come into my heart,
There is love here.

It's a safe place to rest.

Of Manners

In your body
there is a wonderful
expressiveness.

Your look, your gait,
your private history
your behavior.

Identical is your voice,
your respiration,
your attitude, your walk.

Your manners impress,
they indicate power,
a man sure of his point.

You carry a broad,
contented expression;
a beautifier of complexion.

Your form of behavior,
your wish to scatter joy
and not pain around you.

Your thoughts
enter your hands and body,
your speech and behavior.

Manners are your happy way
of doing things;
manners are communicable.

We catch them, like the flu,
from each other.
Manners aren't factitious.

They grow
out of circumstance,
as well as out of character.

This wonderful expressiveness
of the human body
shows all our private history.

Soft Whispered Emotions

Gazing into the heavens
While listening to the sea
I hear a calming voice
Seemingly saying to me.

"Who are you and
Where do you go?"
While pondering all this
My heart seems to know.

Saying with a joyful glee
and soft, whispered emotions
"I go almost everywhere
That my heart leads me."

I am life, I am love
I'm anything I want to be.
I am a soft, gray dove
I'm everything that I can see.

Upstream To Heidelberg

We were waiting on the River Rhine
Looking expectedly for the tour boat.
Someone yells, "Oh darn! It's going downstream."

We had wanted to go upstream this day,
To Heidelberg and the Schoernberg Castle.
We'd gathered here early in the morning.

After reading the schedule of the tours,
We decided that we would walk upstream
And catch the next tour boat going our way.

Finally a boat launched at the next pier!
"Going upstream!" we shout with joyful glee.
Happily we board the holiday boat.

We sing a song with anticipation,
"On to our enchanting Heidelberg city
And the Castle Schoenberg up on the hill."

Finally our anticipated thrill!

New-found Romance

Sitting here in my window seat
Reading a romantic novel
I am feeling the heat
Radiating in my body
From my head to my feet
With a new-found glory.

Oh, the feelings of such passion!
With a sensual remembrance
The feelings of sheer joy
Of a sweet, dreamy love affair.
But we could only dance
In our new-found romance.

The novel is near it's ending
And I carefully consider
Whatever the reason
Why the author leaves this pending?
The lovers only dance
In their new-found romance.

To Paradize

Oh!
The magic
Of our love
Makes me feel
As if I could fly
Like a pale gray dove.
I'm light as a feather
Floating into your arms
Drifting far from the storms
To be with you there in paradize.
To the soft and gentle white clouds
To the center of the blue heavens above
I'll fly with you there to the magic carpet
We've built in a wondrous land of peace and love.

An Old Sweetheart

There is an old sweetheart of mine
Whose presence lingers here with me
From an old photograph of him
Stuck into a book long ago.

I gaze at his handsome features
A face that's forever smiling
Such a sweet dream many years past.
These old dreams, what a luxury!

Oh! those enchanting, divine days.
He said he'd love me forever
Glancing into my dewy eyes
Glowing brightly and tenderly.

As we walked along together
My hand in his, his hand in mine
We'd talk and make plans for our life.
We would be lovers forever.

He kissed me with his tender lips
And caressed me so intensely
I answered him so hungrily
And told him "I'm forever thine."

But, then my dreaming is broken
As the door is slowly opened
And my husband is standing there.
I jump to greet him lovingly.

Is this the old sweetheart of mine?
This man who kisses me goodnight
Who holds me and tells me daily
That he'll always be my sweetheart.

Emerald Wine

The rosy wine
Sits on the table
I had a taste
With a slow pace
I feel it flowing
Through my veins
Never knowing
What will be
The essence of me

To the Planets

Flying through the sky
To silver planets high
A star guides the way.

I see the blue comets
In the moonlit sky
How magnificent it is!

Walk Together

Walking together
On a snowy mountain top
Hand in hand we go
I slip and you follow me
Ending up in the meadows below.

How Sweet The Birds Sing

How sweet the birds sing
Flying around my garden
They perch on the fence
My cat prances with glee
They quickly fly away

My Love

My love is my life
It burneth like a candle
Whatever might happen
He knows I'm here for
His refuge and his loving

Two Hearts

My love, my lover
Take me to the highest plain
See the glow of love
Feel the beating of my heart
Two hearts blending into one

The Ocean

The ocean calls me
With waves of swirling delight
I then embrace it

My Hat

Breezy winter wind
Whipping off my warm wool hat
Oh - I can't catch it!
Down the road it flys
Stopping by the muddy pond
And now I see it go
Deep into the water
My dog runs to retrieve it
Now he's a muddy ball.
Oh my nice, pretty hat
And my sweet little Casey
All covered with mud.
I take them both home
Throw them into the bathtub
And now the mud is gone.

If Only I Could Tell You

If only I could tell you
if you only knew
how my days are filled
with lovely dreams of you

If only I could tell you
if you could only guess
how I love you silently
memory brings such happiness

If only I could tell you
when we stood face to face
and your brown eyes thrilled me
with warm and tender embrace

If only I could tell you
the truth that I yearn
to crown you my king, my lover
would you love me in return

If only I could tell you
in the silent of the night
how 'oft I hear your voice
though you're not in sight

If only I could tell you
of my love so real and true
unfettered, soul to soul
I long to find you

If only I could tell you
when we met so long ago
when you loved me truly
didn't want to let me to go

If only I could tell you
I wanted to stay
but my life was committed
To someone far away

If only I could tell you
you're always in my heart
I'll always love you, darling
Though we are worlds apart

God's Bounty

Roses are blooming
All along the picket fence
Ah! such perfection

Butterflys flying
Stopping here and there to smell
The lovely perfume

Beautiful colors
In my garden of delight
Rose, red, pink, yellow

A beautiful sight
A tiny little butterfly
Perches on my hand

I love the feeling
And wish it never to leave
Soon it flys away

I walk down the path
That leads to my gazebo
Here I sit in bliss

Taking it all in
Thanking God for the bounty
Of all that I see

Iris

All the iris are blooming
In my garden of springtime
Purple, lilac and yellow

And then comes the white
Lovely iris of delight
How regal they look

The morning is bright
So sunny and delightful
I sit in the sun

Enjoying the breeze
Admiring the beauty of
Iris in full bloom

I love my garden
The work I did last autumn
Gives me such pleasure

Today the perfume
Of iris and azaleas
Fill all my senses.

Red Moon Rising

In the stillness of this dark night
We slept beneath the starry sky
Cuddled in our warm sleeping bag
There was joy and laughter
as we remembered so many nights
Of sleeping on the shore of this river
Loving and cherishing precious moments
Of watching the red moon rising
While the noisy hoot owl startled us
To the tune of his loud and shrill fuss.

Bide With Me

There's wine, dinner
And a soft bed
No one around

Come with me there
Bide there with me
Let us be free

Take me
Tame me
Love me

Frozen In Time

I love your smiling eyes
As they gaze into mine
We're frozen in time

My Love, My Light 2

There's a light that shines
In everything you do
And in everything you say
This love that toucheth
And maketh bright
My heart, like the sun
On a clear and perfect day
I can feel the presence
Of this deep and gracious love
It's always there when I need it
And everything it toucheth
Maketh it divine
Oh my dear, my love, my light
You're such a blissful delight!

The Seasons

In spring
the rains come down
refreshing the town
But where is the voice that I heard singing?

In summer
the beach, the sand
the sun feeling grand
But where is the voice that I heard singing?

In fall the leaves turn gold
the beginning of cold
But where is the voice that I heard singing?

In winter
The snow settles
over the meadows
But where is the voice that I heard singing?

It's spring again,
I open the door
listening as before
Oh it's the birds that I heard singing!

Crashes

Wonderful fleeting moments
As I jog in the park
I see you coming
Then you disappear
Into the dark
My heart flutters
Wishing to get a glimpse
Again of your image
Then you crash into me
I give you my woman
You give me your man
A delightful plan

My Model Sister

After a night of much fun and partying
The way home from the country club
was a dark and narrow corridor.

Suddenly headlights flashed brightly
No one could see the car swerving
At breakneck speed around the sharp curve

There was a moment of utter confusion
He could not find a path out of the way
Of this helpless drunken driver

Awakened after the awful crash
He found his beautiful, model wife
With her face shattered from the tree

She was consumed in a bloody pool
Lifeless, with no sounds or movement
The cops were there; the ambulances came

He was in shock with a broken rib cage
A collapsed lung from the jab of the steering wheel
His face covered with bloody tears

He didn't want to part from his lifeless wife
She was in one ambulance, he in another
He cried and screamed to be taken with her

Suddenly we came upon a terrible site
We had enjoyed a beautiful night
With my beloved sister and her husband

Oh my God, no, what an awful fright!
When we knew it was my beautiful, model sister
And her wonderful, loving husband.

I jumped into the lonely, noisy ambulance
Kissed my lovely sister's bloody face and
Talked so tenderly and lovingly to her

We arrived at the emergency room
Immediate surgery to stitch up the face
To stop the profuse bleeding

There was a special love and bond
That overcame my anxiety and hurting
I stayed by her side for weeks

Months passed and then she was home
Oh what a new, unknown face she was now seeing
She often cried and thanked God that she was alive

There were still days of pain and much crying
They both knew that their lives would never be the same
Their new life now must have a different meaning

Always this question was in their thoughts
Why, oh why, did this drunken driver appear
Out of nowhere to tear into their blessed world

Today, these two wonderful people are gone
To a place of light, love and forever peace
To dwell in the glow of the heavens above.

Barely a day passes that I do not think of them
The calmness, peace, love and humbleness they showed
In the last years of their life here on this earth.

Deep Dreams and Slumber

In my bed of red roses
Is a beautiful birdbath
Many colorful birds
Perch with elegant poses

I glimpse them from my lounge
With admiration and glee
I try not to disturb them
I just want them to be.

I fall soundly asleep watching
And counting a great number
A peaceful haven of bliss
In my deep dreams and slumber.

Happiness

"What is happiness?"
I asked philosophers
I asked executives
Ministers, doctors
They all shook their heads
And gave me a smile
Then one sunny afternoon
As I strolled in the park
I saw families under the trees
Men, women and children
Laughing, dancing, singing
Accompanied by an accordion.
I smiled with delight
What a beautiful sight!

Heaven Is Found

Your mistress of morns
Silky dress she adorns
To be ruined willing

With solitary pain at crest
Your hands to thighs and breast
She begs to be satiated

Strong fingers in verve
When the strings sound
Heaven is then found

Gossamer Lace

Speaking to me
with words of passion
actions of lovemaking
looks of rollicking romance
I sit here in my gossamer lace
loving these feelings of sensuality
When your intentions are made clear
pondering "should I surrender to you?"
now while I'm so vulnerable to your charms?
I cannot resist. You envelop me in your arms

To My Love

Oh the power of your love!
How delightful it seems
So beautiful and warm in
The happiest of my dreams

Surround me in your arms
Say comforting words to me
Enthrall me with your charms
I cannot live without thee!

Oh yes, you have my love
So devoted and so true
The best and the sweetest
That your heart ever knew.

My love is a light from heaven
Freely and steadfastly given

We Belong Together

You say I am your angel
Who came from heaven above
To cherish and adore you
While you give me all your love

You are forever the one
You are the dreams in my sleep
The love we have always shared
So honest, so true, so deep

These tender feelings of love
In the center of my heart
I hold them deeply inside
Where they will never depart

One day when our hearts are old
And we are left to ponder
Will God take us together
To that fair land of wonder?

We have lived and loved so long
And together we belong

What Is A Sister?

A sister is someone
who's been where you've been,
who knows you
and what you're about
Someone you know
you can call if you need to
when something's
just not working out.

A sister is someone
who's more than just family;
her friendship is one of a kind.
And the closeness you 've shared
through life's laughter and tears
is the deepest that you'll ever find.

I'm lucky to have a sister like you.
I wouldn't trade our special relationship
for anything in the world.
Nothing is more comfortable
or more reassuring than knowing
that you're always there.
And you make life so enjoyable
just by being yourself.
You've always been the best kind of sister.

I just thought I'd say "thanks".

My Heart

The heaven has it's stars
The sea has it's pearls
But my heart has it's love

The heaven and the seas are great
But greater still is my heart
Come into the warmth and comfort

of my heart

Tell Me

Please tell me my happy child
What the past is like for thee.
"A spring evening soft and mild
the wind singing gleefully?"

What is the present hour?
"A beautiful flower spray?
A bird showing it's power
Spreading wings to fly away?"

And what is the future dear one?
"A world beneath a cloudless sun,
A glorious, mighty dazzling sea,
Stretching into infinity?"

Your smile shows you have no fear.
Tell me, please tell me my dear!

The Rock and The Falcon

There's a gray rock, standing tall
On the seashore where the winds
Let no trees and grasses grow.

Earthquake proof and signatured
By ages of storms on it's peak
Where a lone falcon has perched.

The look of the falcon's eyes
Seemingly saying to me,
"Here is a future symbol."

The beauty of the falcon's eyes
Such power, such dignity
With eyelids that never look down

I feel a strong sense of wonder
And think, "Oh, I cannot tell you
the mysticism of this scene,

The symbol of the gray rock
Which failure cannot cast down
And success cannot make it proud."

Missing You!

Dear One,
Oh, how I miss you!
Please come back soon!
What am I to do?
You are my bright moon.

You're my sunny day,
You are my bright star.
I just want to say
How wonderful you are.

Your presence excites me.
I long for your touch.
I do wish you'd see,
I miss you so much.

Dear, why did you leave?
Are you too busy,
Or is it a peeve?
I'm in a frenzy!

Plainly you must see,
It's you that I need.
I want you near me,
You planted the seed.

You're here in my heart,
With thoughts that are warm.
We're never apart,
Even in a storm.

You are in my dreams.
We sit and watch the stars,
You kiss and love me,
You light up my heart.

How are things going?
Please let me know dear.
I hate not knowing
Why you can't be near.

Please know you are in my thoughts!
As always,

Your Soul's Song

Thinking of the days
That have just slipped by
Hearing your soul's song
I sit here and sigh!
My heart feels the love
The warmth of your rhyme
The songs of your soul
Oh, how I pine!
How I have missed you
Your songs fill my heart
With tender caress
Such beautiful art!
The days seem so bare
Without your presence
Your songs are my joy
Beautiful essence!

Keep writing my friend,
Please don't leave again!

Austin

Watching over you
Your angel from the heavens
Keeping you from harm

Loving you from above
Watching you grow to manhood
My precious little grandson

Your name is Austin
Such a playful little boy
Loving everyone

Smiling eyes are yours
So bright with open wonder
Like stars in the night

God will keep you safe
Always remember my love
As long as you're on earth

When I Am Dead

When I am dead, if tears begin to fall
Don't put me there high on a pedestal.
Please reach up, take me down, that is not me!
I was only human and you can see
I made mistakes, I ranted, raved and cried.
Do not make me perfect now that I`ve died.

Remember all the good times too my dears
And do not shed too many useless tears.
Life was mostly good and then sometimes bad
But I am happy that I lived - be glad.
Do not remember me with angels wings
I was human and did the human things.

All I ask is that you will love me still
For my mistakes I paid my earthly bill.
But most of all remember through the tears
I love you all so very much my dears.
And if you stand beside my stone and weep
Remember I`m not dead - I`m just asleep.

When I come at last to Heavens glory
I will tell Our Lord a lovely story
Of all the people back on earth I love.
And with His help I`ll see you from above
And show you now and then that I still care.
Just call my name my darlings - I`ll be there.

Sonnets

Sonnet 1
My Love, My Light

There is a loving light that shines
In everything that you do
And in your voice, the spoken lines
Of this great love that toucheth too.
It maketh bright like radiant ray,
My heart, just like the sun in flight,
On this a clear and perfect day.
I smile and feel the presence right,
Presence of deep and gracious love.
It's always there when I need it
And everything it toucheth of
Love makes it divine and feeds it.
Oh my darling, my love, my light
My life is a blissful delight!

Sonnet 2
If This Is Love

What is this feeling if it is not love?
Would I know what love is if it is love?
Why is this feeling so painful if good?
Why does this torment please me so if bad?
Should I complain if willingly I hurt?
Why does it lament against my own will?
Oh most delightful pain of this love!
If I do not consent, why is this so?
If I consent, it's madness then I know.
I feel tossed around in this weakened state,
Into a dangerous sea, without relief.
Reason is no help, I am feeling lost.
Which way in what direction shall I turn?
If this is love, why do I feel it's burn?

Sonnet 3
Magical Journey

Far into the mystical forest,
We went on a magical journey,
When a group of beautiful fairies
Swarmed around us in thrilling delight.
As they danced around us we did see
Such a brilliant and glorious light,
Coming from their colorful wingtips,
Colors of a beauteous rainbow.
As quickly as they came they took flight
While sprinkling stardust all around us.
We felt such peace as they flew away,
Enjoying these feelings of delight.
We heard such a billowing thunder,
As they were leaving us in wonder.

Sonnet 4
Our Love

Remembering our first meeting,
The times that we spent exploring
All the thrilling senses of youth,
The first long and tender kisses.
There was no one else in our world,
Just the two of us taking time
Getting to know each other's whims
And dreams, passions and fantasies.
We have lived and loved together.
We have shared each other's gladness,
Many years of sweetest pleasure,
This love we have is a treasure.
We've endured life's sorrows and woe
Through stormy and sunny weather.
Our love is indestructible
It's silent flame burns forever.
Yes, this is love so steadfast and true,
The truest that any hearts ever knew.

Sonnet 5
The Lover's Sky

As I sit here watching the lover's sky
I think of you with a heart full of love.
Clouds are moving across the moonlit sky,
Romance and intimacy tickle my mind.
All cares and troubles have forsaken me,
Only tender dreams and memories of
My life spent in the arms of my true love,
Delighted with the beauty of this night.
Brightly the stars twinkle up above me.
As I gaze into the unknown darkness
I can see the face of my darling man.
A great calmness overwhelms my being.
I love the feeling of being at peace,
It makes the world I live in seem at ease.

Sonnet 6
Why Should You Be Gone?

Here I stand on the beautiful shore,
Hearing the waves from the noisy, blue sea,
Calling and lamenting out to thee,
Restlessly awaiting at your door.
Shells and sea-weed on the ocean floor,
The flowers in the meadow, and the tree
And winds of the Atlantic all welcome me.
Then why should you be gone, and come no more?
And why should you be gone, when we are all
Busy with many trivial affairs,
Having and living? Laughing and loving,
Remembering you and to you we call.
Why, when the mysteries of nature you knew?
Why are you silent? Why was it you?

Sonnet 7
The Night Sky

On this wondrously bright night
When all the heavens are fair,
The moon gleams a marble white
Against the warm summer air.
A glimmering torrent of stars
Encircleing the galaxy,
Sprinkling light over Mars
Like star dust and silver sand.
As banners of the sky unfold
I watch with a childlike joy,
The starlit lush of this night,
Such pleasures I behold.
I'm vizualizing the light
As I fall asleep each night.

Sonnet 8
Shadows of Life

As I travel up the stairs to heaven
I can see the brightness of the planets
And as I gaze throughout the starry sky
I can feel the lovliness of it all.
My life has been a series of wonders
Taking in the kindness of the peoples
I have travelled to many foreign lands
Have known the love of so many dear ones
Travelling many valleys of winding roads
Seeing the ruins of many a city
And many a valley of bright flowers
May I for my own self song's truth reckon
In the darkness of this blackberry night
The shadows of my life have taken flight

Sonnet 9
All God's Children

No matter what color we are
We are all the children of God
All made in his image with care
To roam the earth in peace and love
We, each one, see and feel alike
Our emotions know no color
Red, olive, tan, beige, black or white
We mingle and love each other
Why, oh why can we not see it!
It's not the color of our skin
It is the beating heart inside
That's telling us we are all kin
No matter where we are in life
May we all live with love, not strife.

Sonnet 10
Love In The Wind

When I am standing on a mountain's crest
Or sitting by a sandy, windy sea
My love for you leaps foaming in my breast
I feel the tempest of your smile with glee.
Dear One, I laugh aloud for love of thee
Glad our love is mellow to rough weather.
I feel a high wave reaching out to me
Hale and hardy as the mountain heather.
Winds howling in this wild ride of the night
My heart bounds with the horses of the sea
I ride with Fate and feel the winds in flight
Softly singing, "whatever will be, will be."
Lover of the ocean, friend of the hills.
Rejoicing in this wind that stings but thrills.

Come go with me there
Visions of secret places

My scores are way too high
The golf course is just too dry

My body needs the workout
My soul needs the natural scenery

Always remember his love

Tanka

Wishing for the rain
Wondering when it will come
Longing to play golf
I'm surfing on my pc
Another day of sitting

~ * ~

Air-conditioning
A pleasant comfort indeed
It cools my temper
There's no electricity
We cannot escape the heat?

Scifaiku

Posing on a star
Admiring all the planets
I drift into space

~ * ~

Flying through the sky
In a rosy-red space ship
Martians sit on top
